Located in New York's borough of Brooklyn on a 25-acre beautifully landscaped enclosed campus and also in Manhattan, Pratt Institute aims to educate artists and creative professionals to be responsible contributors to society. The school was founded In 1887 byCharles Pratt, a philanthropist and visionary; an owner of a successful oil business and a supporter of many major institutions in Brooklyn.

Today Pratt Institute draws a diverse group of 4700 highly talented and dedicated students to its main campus in Brooklyn, New York and its Manhattan campus. The faculty at Pratt Institute is predominantly made up of leading practicing professionals in their fields.
